A family residing on Clararia Close in Edensor Park witnessed the armed man on their security cameras at 1:30 am, sparking immediate concern. They promptly alerted the authorities, leading to a swift police response to the scene.
Police Pursuit and Arrest
The suspect fled the scene in a white Hyundai sedan, with the driver refusing to stop for the pursuing officers on Cowpasture Road, Hinchinbrook. Deputy Commissioner Peter Thurtell revealed that the passenger, believed to be the individual attempting to break into the home, fired shots at the police during the chase, luckily resulting in no injuries.

The pursuit came to a halt when the sedan crashed on St Andrews Road, Varroville, after encountering road spikes deployed by the police.
