So, yesterday’s pole position battle was pretty intense, ya know? Max Verstappen ended up being 0.065 seconds faster than Norris. Crazy, right? Piastri managed to grab his third pole position of the season, and surprisingly, this was his biggest lead over second place so far.
Piastri had a bit of a rough time at the Miami GP, ending up in fourth place on the grid after getting beat in the sprint race. Meanwhile, new dad Max Verstappen snagged pole position. Congrats on the baby, Max! He’ll be starting at the front alongside Norris, Piastri’s teammate who won the sprint race yesterday.
Now, Piastri came into this weekend with a 10-point lead in the championship over Norris. That gap has now shrunk to nine points after the sprint race. Today, Piastri is starting in fourth place, while his rivals Norris and Verstappen are up at the front.
