Manhunt for Queensland Woman’s Murder Suspects

In a tragic turn of events, a manhunt is currently underway for two brothers suspected of the murder of Queensland woman Chloe Jade Mason. The suspects, 29-year-old Codye Thomson and 32-year-old Kaine Thomson-Gleeson, allegedly assaulted and shot Mason dead on Railway Parade, Caboolture, just after midnight on December 22. Mason, who knew the pair, had visited one of their homes in Caboolture, according to police reports.

Suspects Believed to be Hiding in NSW Bush

After being questioned by police and subsequently released due to insufficient evidence linking them to the crime, the Thomson brothers fled the state. Authorities have issued arrest warrants for the pair and have reason to believe they are currently camping in the NSW bush. Recent sightings placed the suspects in Chinderah in northern NSW on December 30, followed by a visit to relatives in Kempsey on the Mid North Coast. Police suspect that the brothers may be sleeping rough or camping in a white Holden Commodore, registered with Queensland plate 953 HO4.

Appeal to the Public for Information

Detective Inspector David Harbison has appealed to residents in northern NSW and southern Queensland to come forward with any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects or their vehicle. Police have emphasized the importance of any leads, regardless of how insignificant they may seem, in aiding the ongoing investigation. It is crucial for the safety of the public that anyone who spots the suspects refrains from approaching them and instead contacts emergency services immediately.

Heartbreaking Loss of a Beloved Family Member

The family of Chloe Jade Mason has been left devastated by her untimely death, describing her as an “amazing person” who brought joy and warmth to those around her. Her sister, Dani, expressed the profound impact of Mason’s loss, emphasizing that she did not deserve such a tragic fate. As the investigation continues to unfold, the motive behind the attack and Mason’s association with the suspects remain unclear.

As the search intensifies for the Thomson brothers, the community stands united in seeking justice for Chloe Jade Mason and ensuring that those responsible for her senseless murder are brought to account for their actions. In times of tragedy, it is the strength and solidarity of the community that provide hope for closure and healing in the face of unimaginable loss.
