Israel went all out on their ground operations in the Gaza Strip, launching a serious offensive that led to the death of at least 103 people, including many children. The airstrikes, which took place on Saturday night and continued into Sunday, caused chaos and devastation in the region. Hospitals and medics were overwhelmed by the number of casualties, with northern Gaza’s main hospital even having to shut down due to the overwhelming influx of patients.

The airstrikes hit hard in Khan Younis, a city in southern Gaza, where more than 48 people lost their lives. Houses and tents used as shelters for displaced individuals were not spared in the attacks. The situation was so dire that Nasser Hospital struggled to keep up with counting the dead bodies due to their condition. Among the deceased were 18 children and 13 women, a heartbreaking reality that shook the community to its core. The civil defense, operating under the Hamas-run government, reported that a strike in Jabaliya refugee camp claimed the lives of nine family members, while another strike in the same area killed 10 individuals, including seven children and a woman.

In the midst of the chaos, Um Mahmoud al-Aloul mourned the loss of her daughter, Nour al-Aloul, in Gaza City. The emotional toll of the conflict was palpable as she cried out in anguish, expressing the deep pain of losing a loved one. The Israeli military remained tight-lipped about the situation, but their actions spoke volumes as they continued with their ground operations. The blockade imposed by Israel has only exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with food, medicine, and other essential supplies running scarce. The ongoing conflict has left the region in a state of despair, with talks in Qatar offering a glimmer of hope for a potential ceasefire agreement.
