manhunt-underway-for-suspect-who-attacked-border-force-officials

Two Aussie Border Force officials copped a beating from a bloke they were taking to Sydney airport for deportation this morning. The incident went down around 3.40am in Clyde, out in Sydney’s west, where the coppers found a 54-year-old fella with stab wounds to the neck and cheek, and a 36-year-old bloke who got roughed up. The ABF contractors were just doing their job, trying to get the 28-year-old man from Villawood detention centre to the airport, when things went pear-shaped.

The two poor buggers who got injured – the driver and his mate in the car – are getting looked after at Westmead Hospital. Luckily, the injuries aren’t too bad, according to the police. Turns out, the attacker used a sharpened metal object to do the damage. Superintendent Simon Glasser from NSW Police reckons the bloke responsible is a known troublemaker who hangs around Mount Pritchard and other spots in south-west Sydney. The dog squad even had a go at tracking him down, but he was last seen heading west towards Harris Park.

Seems like the man they’re after is of Pacific Islander/Maori descent, with a tan, a big build, standing about 180cm tall, black hair, dark eyes, and a bit scruffy. He was wearing a black coat, track pants, and some black and white kicks at the time. If anyone knows anything, they should ring up Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Not really sure why this matters, but it’s probably a good idea to keep an eye out and call 000 if you spot him.
