Triple murderer Max Sica, who has been in the slammer for 16 years, is trying to prove he didn’t do it. His legal team is bringing out new evidence to shake up one of Queensland’s biggest criminal cases. Neelma Singh and her siblings Kunal and Sidhi were killed in their Bridgeman Downs home in Brisbane back in 2003. The guy convicted, Sica, was Neelma’s boyfriend back then and claimed he found their bodies in the tub. It took almost ten years for a jury to find him guilty and throw him in the clink for 35 years.
Now, Sica’s lawyers are saying they found some new, juicy evidence. Bill Potts, who knows his stuff about crime, said it’s gotta be something that nobody knew about back at the first trial. Former detective Graham Crowley even thinks the real killer could still be out there. He’s all suspicious about the footprints the cops found and how they found the murder weapon.
It’s been 22 years since those gruesome murders went down, and the families involved are still suffering. Sica’s parents are team “free Max” all the way, saying he’s innocent. The legal paperwork is gonna be filed next week, and there’s gonna be a big showdown in court later this year. So, stay tuned for that drama.
