East Auckland Tourism Unveils Vibrant Visitor Map
East Auckland Tourism has recently unveiled a vibrant and colorful Visitor Map, showcasing the hidden gems and top attractions of the region. This beautifully crafted guide aims to inspire both locals and visitors to explore the rich cultural and natural diversity that East Auckland has to offer.
The map features serene beaches, regional parks, bustling markets, charming cafes, and world-class wineries, all designed to capture the essence of East Auckland. From tranquil hiking trails to scenic drives and family-owned eateries, the guide is a comprehensive overview of everything the region has to offer.
Andrew Laing, the chair of East Auckland Tourism, expressed his excitement about the launch of the map. He emphasized the importance of driving greater economic activity by attracting more people from outside the area to support local businesses.
The artwork for the Visitor Map was brought to life by renowned New Zealand artist Denise Nel. Her intricate designs vividly showcase the natural and cultural highlights of East Auckland. Drawing inspiration from her adventures on the Te Araroa Trail, the Great New Zealand Trek, and various Great Walks and bike trails, Nel’s distinctive style beautifully captures the essence of the region.
The map made its debut at the Christmas Fair in Howick Village and is now available at various locations. East Auckland Tourism encourages both locals and visitors to provide feedback and suggest additional features for future editions. The next update is scheduled for printing at the end of January, with suggestions welcome via email at marketing@eastaucklandtourism.co.nz.
